About Us
Tilecraft LLC was founded by the owner Randy Hill in 2008. Randy has been in construction his entire life and has spent the last 17 years dedicated to tile installation. He started as a helper and worked his way up to installer in just 3 years.
In 2002 he moved back to his hometown of Ithaca, NY and began his first installation company, Terrapin Tile. This was a small town with a small market for tile installation. He ran the business for 2 years before selling the company to his childhood friend, Thomas Holmes in 2004. He is proud to say that his first company is still in business and growing strong every year.
After deciding to move back to Atlanta,"I couldn't take all the snow...the water in my wet saw would freeze", Randy worked as an installer and then an estimator for a large tile sales and installation company. "This was an enjoyable experience but I realized then all the problems that came along with having so much overhead". After working with this company for more than 3 years, Randy decided it was time to start another business. This time taking what he had learned in all of his years as an independent installer, small market business owner, and salesmen / estimator for a large company in a large market. Tilecraft was born.
